Kick off your Saturday night by mingling with filmmakers, influencers, and celebrities at a “Green Carpet Gala” before you sit down to view the West Coast Premiere of The Smell of Money, produced by actress Kate Mara. Enjoy noshing on delicious bites catered by Miyoko’s, OmniPork, and Souley Vegan, sip some local wine or kombucha, and walk the green carpet yourself to snap a pic in front of the “step and repeat.” The Smell of Money is a powerful film about intensive pig farming and its impact on the local community in North Carolina, told through the eyes of a resident activist. Following the movie will be a panel featuring the filmmaker and screenwriter.
The 3rd Annual Mindful Eating Food & Film Festival returns to Marin County, California, for the largest gathering connecting the public with the truths behind our current industrialized food system, bringing together celebrities & the public to experience and enjoy plant-based foods, documentaries, & inspiring speakers.
Produced by Rancho Compasión, a Bay Area urban animal sanctuary founded by Miyoko Schinner, this fundraiser, taking place at the Marin County Civic Center and Fairgrounds, brings together changemakers, celebrities, and the public to experience plant-based foods, documentaries, and inspiring speakers.
This event will help impact over 90 rescued sanctuary animals, as well as thousands of students and community members through our humane education programs.
