Permaculture Weekend

Facilitated by local permaculture educator Rachel Economy of Next World Design, this two-day course is for anyone interested in bringing permaculture into their lives, homes, workplaces, or communities. In this weekend intensive, we’ll explore the lineage, core ethics, and principles of this regenerative ecological design process. Then we’ll dig in (pun intended) to the delicious design process, mapping tools, and strategies of permaculture, using interactive learning and hands-on practice. We’ll deepen our community-based climate resilience skills and perspectives in a playful, connective community container. Throughout the weekend we’ll apply what we learn, as we each create a design for a particular home, work, or community space. Each of us will leave with a design and plan for a garden that we can get started on right away!

Learn ecological design skills for creating sustainable gardens, landscapes, and communities. Leave with a design and plan for your own garden!

Participants will be expected to provide their own lunches. Any food consumed on-site must respect Rancho Compasión's vegan policy. Do not bring food containing animal products (flesh, milk, honey, eggs). We will be providing snacks and water.
