2022 End of Year Campaign

Dear Supporters of Rancho Compasión,

As 2022 draws to a close, we want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in making this another great year at Rancho Compasión. We’ve continued to provide the best care for our growing animal family here at Rancho, and to spread compassion in our communities near and far through programs like our Mindful Eating Film & Food Festival, Humane Education, LEAP, and Rancho Tours and Visitor Days.

We can’t do this without your generous support, and hope you will consider a special donation to Rancho this year to help us meet our campaign goal of $75,000.

Like all of you, we’ve had to learn to adapt to life post-pandemic, as the need to scoop the poop and deal with veterinary emergencies has not changed. Just as our residents' health needs haven’t changed, there continue to be many more animals in need of rescue. We have limited capacity, but take in new animals as we’re able.

This year we reached several thousand people through our Mindful Eating Film and Food Festival, private tours, visitor days, and our volunteer program. We were one of 3 sanctuaries who partnered to form LEAP (Leaders for Ethics, Animals, and the Planet), a program which offers high school aged participants hands-on farmed and domestic animal care experience, humane education, and the opportunity to earn a scholarship.

And we won’t even try to calculate how many pounds of poop we’ve scooped, food we’ve fed, and medications administered over the past year. All of this has happened with your donations and the help of over 100 volunteers, including nearly 20 who commit to coming out every single week!

All of this is only possible with your generous support! Please consider giving a donation using the button below, or through Venmo a social media fundraiser.

With compassion and gratitude, and hopes for a healthy and happy 2023,

Miyoko Schinner and the Rancho Compasión Staff & Board of Directors
